Sea Turtle

I think this is more of a suggestion...;)

Later that day, we came back and found 3 on the beach!!!

Me and the sea turtles!!!

We got native service! Coconuts picked fresh that day!!!

Fresh coconut!

Later on our day off, we went to Volcano National Park.  Here is a steam vent that has some hot steam!
In the bottom is just a small pool of water.  The water boils up and when it hits the cool air it turns into steam.  It is really hot!

Me and the steam vents!

Kilauea Caldera - A crater formed when the lava deteriorates the ground beneath the surface and the ground above collapses and creates a huge crater! This one is about 3 miles in diameter!

Steam coming off of the rim of the crater!

Me and the Kilauea Caldera!

A Lava Tube! It is when lava flows through rock and leaves a tube/tunnel!

Me in the TUBE!

Amazing Greek Salad after the Volcanoes!

We met this lady on the way back from the volcanoes.  She had a zebra in her front lawn and was selling coffee.  When we got closer, we saw she had WILD boars and chickens and cats on her property.  She feeds all of them, but they are not "her's" (what she told us).  She was a crazy lady!

The zebra.  She bought it from Santa Barbara, CA...=)

Exiting the water with fins is harder than it looks!

Here I am taking my fins off but having a hell of a time because my hands and feet are so frozen I cannot function properly.

Running up the beach to get to the kayaks, the soles of my feet are so frozen I cannot feel the multiple rocks scattered on the beach. This is a problem because you want to keep your feet in mint condition when racing several hours.
The Kayaks to choose from....

Start of the Orienteering Section, finally off on the run!

Start of the Orienteering Section, was waiting in line for the ascent. We lost an additonal 35 minutes waiting in line...

Ascent up the cliffs edge! I am the one in the blue shorts at the top of the cliff. My teammates are already at the top.
